First and foremost, I would like to thank you for taking the time to view my online portfolio. My name is Jerome Knight. I am originally from Louisiana but moved to California to pursue my dream of being a 3D artist. As a kid, I always wanted to be an animator. I was inspirited by movies like: The Jungle Book and Pixar’s Toy Story, but when I got older there was one movie that changed everything for me: The Matrix. After seeing that movie for the first time I knew I wanted to be a 3D artist.
While attending college, I tried to make it a habit to attend industry events. I went to Siggraph, took tours of several different studios, and tried to attend events that the Gnomon School had on their campus. I also got the pleasure of interning for Zoic Studios, a visual effects house located in Culver City, CA. This was an amazing experience for me. It pushed me harder as an artist to show my peers that I had what it took to compete with the best. During my internship I worked on a project called, Checkmate. I also got the chance to help out on the television show Cold Case by modeling a toy rocket in episode 607. Now that I have finished school, I hope to fulfill this dream by working in television, film, and the gaming industry as a 3D artist and compositor.
